Susan earned her bachelor’s degree from Brown University in geology and biology, where she graduated with Honors. She has a master’s in science teaching from Lewis & Clark, and a graduate certificate in mathematics teaching from Portland State. Finally, she has a master’s degree from Reed College in environmental studies. The only thing Susan likes more than being a perpetual student is teaching. Susan launched her teaching career in the international schools, and has taught in China, Ecuador and Switzerland. In the fall of 2011, she began teaching pathophysiology online for GWU. Altogether, she has 15 years of teaching experience in secondary (and now university level) science and mathematics, both here and abroad.
