Biography

Dr. Rohini Ganjoo is an accomplished educator, researcher, and academic leader with over 15 years of experience in higher education. She has been recognized with numerous honors, including the 2024 Graduate Teaching Award from the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools and the 2023 Morton A. Bender Teaching Award from George Washington University. She directs and teaches a range of undergraduate and graduate courses: including Molecular Biology, Medical Biotechnology, Biology, Capstone and more. Beyond the classroom, Dr. Ganjoo actively contributes to multiple university and national committees focused on education, training, and professional development.  

With a strong background in curriculum design, program development and assessment, and faculty and student advancement, Dr. Ganjoo is dedicated to fostering student success. Prior to joining GW, she taught at Northern Virginia Community College. Her research explores health equity in education, gender norms in women and children’s health, and the intersection of artificial intelligence with pedagogy and medical sciences. She has led projects investigating the impact of interpersonal communication on public health interventions, including anemia reduction and vaccine hesitancy in underserved populations. She has edited two books, and her peer-reviewed research has been published in prestigious journals and edited volumes. Her work has been widely recognized through presentations at regional, national, and international conferences, highlighting her impact on modern educational practices.
