Research

As a physician trained in a country where diseases as Malaria, Leishmaniasis and Leprosy are still so prevalent, I have a deep interest in learning and searching for new therapeutical options and the developing of vaccines that can reduce the burden of these diseases in poor communities or in those having less access to good health care system.
After living in the UK where I was able to learn about another level of coverage and a different health system, I have been also exposed to those chronic conditions that come in developed civilizations that also can make a big impact in the quality of life of their citizens so I am interested in researching in chronic conditions related with skin diseases as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and cancer.
I like to participate in clinical systematic reviews using the evidence based medicine to create guidelines of prevention and treatment. Education to the communities affected for those preventable, chronic conditions inspires me to participate in educational sessions for Supprot Groups as those with the National Psoriasis Foundations.
