Biography
Dr. Kazzi is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at George Washington University. He received a BA from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and an MD from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at the State University of New York - Downstate in Brooklyn, NY, and then a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine as well as Critical Care Medicine. He practices full-time Critical Care Medicine at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, MD.
He joined the Department of Emergency Medicine at GW in 2016 and was awarded the Teaching Attending of the Year Award in his first year by the GW residents. He is a founding member of the Critical Care section within the GW Department of Emergency Medicine, focusing on improving delivery of care to critically ill patients within in the ED.
