Biography

Malwina Huzarska is an Assistant Professor in the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences Physician Assistant Studies program and has been a Physician Assistant educator since 2021.  Asst. Prof. Huzarska focuses on human behavior, clinical assessment, and clinical concepts integration.  Her special interests include emergency medicine, clinical skills, and simulation-based learning. 

Asst. Prof. Huzarska enjoys teaching in small groups and strives to contribute to the program’s assessment methods and uphold their quality.  She is currently serving on the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) Emergency Medicine and General Surgery Exam Development Board, where she is an item-writer and a peer reviewer.

Asst. Prof. Huzarska continues to enjoy her clinical work as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant.  She has been practicing in this field for the past eight years and has elevated her knowledge of the specialty by earning a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Emergency Medicine (CAQ-EM).  She continues her community outreach outside of the United States by participating in medical mission trips to Peru and Poland.  Most recently she participated in Ukrainian refugee medical relief in Wroclaw, Poland.

Prior to earning her degree in medicine, Asst. Prof. Huzarska was involved in analytical chemistry research with special interest in mass spectrometry in the context of Alzheimer’s disease and cancer.  She also served on active duty as a Combat Medic in the United States Army.  Her experiences outside of Physician Assistant education continue to add quality to her daily duties as an educator and a clinician.
