Previously, Dr. Kristie Stover was an assistant professor and Director of the graduate program in healthcare management at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. At Marymount, Professor Stover taught classes in healthcare marketing, strategic planning, finance and reimbursement systems. Before joining Marymount, Dr. Stover was a Research Associate in the Department of Health Administration at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she remains an assistant adjunct professor.
Prior to her work in higher education, Dr. Stover enjoyed a career in hospital administration. She served as senior staff to the Chief Executive Officer of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Northwestern Memorial Foundation. In this role, her work focused on governance, facility planning, quality projects, strategic and financial planning and philanthropy. Before joining the NMH team, Dr. Stover also worked for Inova Health Systems doing marketing and business development.
Her research interests include palliative care, quality, leadership and planning and operations. She is also a diplomat in the College of Healthcare Executives and remains involved with the professional association.
