Biography
A third-generation Medical Doctor, Dr. Tabacco grew up watching his grandfathers, uncles, and father care for patients at their family home and for the communities they loved. Dr. Tabacco strives for this ideal of being available and offering care to the community he grew up in. Having conducted his training in internal medicine at the University of Maryland/Union Memorial Hospital, Dr. Tabacco enjoys the internist role as a center of community health, fielding daily minor concerns as well as more pressing medical issues that occasionally involve a higher level of hospital care.
A 5-time Washingtonian magazine Top Doc in internal medicine, Dr. Tabacco enjoys caring for all of his patients’ concerns and enjoys the complexities of internal medicine. In order to care for all of his patients’ medical and physical concerns, Dr. Tabacco spent a year in fellowship training in Musculoskeletal and preventative medicine at a highly esteemed position at Naval Hospital Pensacola/Andrews Institute to be able to help patients with their muscle and joint pains as they age, as well as to enhance nutritional goals, and aging concerns. Dr. Tabacco’s goal is to keep all patients healthy and active through exercise and nutrition as they age. Dr. Tabacco continues to serve as an adjunct professor at GW University School of Medicine.
