Chavon Onumah is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the General Internal Medicine Division at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Onumah joined the faculty of the George Washington University in 2011. She is board-certified in internal medicine with additional training in HIV medicine. Dr. Onumah serves as a resident educator and a quality improvement curriculum instructor. She is also the Assistant Clerkship Director of the Primary Care Clerkship for medical students and a clinical skills and reasoning instructor for first- and second-year medical students. Her clinical and research interests include primary care, HIV medicine, healthcare disparities, quality improvement, population health, and medical education.
